Work Experience

Duties included:- Fieldwork - invertebrate sampling, water sampling, river habitat surveying
- Laboratory work - water quality analysis (soluble reactive phosphorus, ammonium, ion chromatography)
- Data analysis - collation of our data with secondary datasets from the Environment Agency to assess long-term trends of water quality, water quality and ecological status assessment
- Data dissemination - report for local stakeholders, blog post
- March 2018: Work Placement, JBA Risk Management
- Assisted in the creation of flood hazard maps with the global mapping team using ArcGIS
